Lauren’s favorite post-Lindy Hop dance hang— great local beer and food!

Huber’s Orchard & Winery

Best fall farm spot— a bit of a drive outside the city, but worth it if you want to pick your own pumpkins and apples. They also have ice cream, wine tastings, and cafe/restaurant.

The Big Four Pedestrian Bridge

Walk across the Ohio River into Indiana! Keep going to explore, or walk back and enjoy the view.

The Parklands of Floyd’s Fork

Nature lovers will appreciate this park system with over 4000-acres of visitor-and-donor supported public park, not far from Yew Dell and the hotel block.

Bernheim Forest & Arboretum

Another spot for nature lovers, visited frequently by Lauren and her mom. Trails to hike or paths to walk amidst beautiful Kentucky forests.

Falls of the Ohio State Park

Cross the river into Indiana for one of the biggest “claims to fame” of the area (Lewis and Clark stopped here to cross the falls on their journey). Today, the park boasts tons of driftwood, fossil beds, and river views.
